Planning a trip to Hanau
The Tourist Information Center sits behind the Rathaus (Town Hall) at Am Markt 14 (tel. 06181/295950; www.hanau.de), open Monday to Thursday 9:30am to 6pm, Friday 8:30am to 1pm, and Saturday 9am to 1pm.
Getting There
By Train and Bus
From the main rail station at Frankfurt, take the S8 or S9 train to the Hanau Hauptbahnhof. The trip takes only 30 minutes, and a one-way ticket costs 6€. The fare includes a bus ride from the train station to the Marktplatz.
By Car
Motorists from Frankfurt can head east along Autoroute 66 into Hanau.
