Eurostars Los Agustinos

Haro doesn’t get any more historic than this building, an Augustinian monastery founded in 1373. During the 19th and early 20th centuries it served as a military garrison, a school, a hospital, and finally a prison. Renovated by a Basque hotel group, and now acquired by a national chain, it is still the most characterful lodging in Haro. The neighborhood is a pedestrian zone, which keeps the noise level down at night. Rooms are large and rather traditionally appointed; a few have been renovated, but most retain some exposed stone or overhead beams. A huge glass-roofed central atrium with a bar provides a pleasant communal space for breakfast or relaxation.
