In Havasu Canyon
Havasu Campground, 2 miles beyond Supai village between Havasu Falls and Mooney Falls, is the canyon’s only campground. Campsites are mostly in the shade of cottonwood trees on either side of Havasu Creek, and picnic tables are provided. No firewood is available, so be sure to bring a camp stove. Spring water is available, but it needs to be purified before you drink it. To reserve a campsite, contact Havasupai Tourism, P.O. Box 160, Supai, AZ 86435 (http://theofficialhavasupaitribe.com; tel. 928/448-2141).
