Nestled in an out-of-sight corner of an unassuming stretch of vacation rental condos, with just two outdoor picnic tables for seating, Da Poke Shack has nevertheless put itself on the culinary map with a lineup of eight or so poke—diced raw seafood with different marinades and seasonings—that are so fresh you may see fishermen delivering their latest catch while you’re in line. Go early for the best selection, since it often sells out; the spicy Pele’s Kiss and creamy avocado versions are first-rate. Prices vary daily and are on the high side for lunch plates and bowls with quinoa, rice, or potato salad; it’s the seafood that’s the star here, so spend your money on that above all.
