A renewed spirit of hospitality has blown through this very expansive Westin in the form of a $30 million renovation. As you wander through the beautiful lobby (stop for a sip of complimentary fruit-infused water), you'll notice elaborate chandeliers and decorative palms that bring the outside indoors. The resort has five classes of rooms, starting with basic non-smoking units outfitted with a king and a single sofabed. The color scheme throughout is warm and inviting, with blues dominating, along with some nice pastel nods that feel quite modern. Situated on a private white sand beach, the resort's activities club for children, specialized maps for runners, and golf and racquet club make for a bucolic or energetic stay, depending on your temperament. The amenities across the board are quite fine, including private balconies and a refrigerator. It's worth noting that each room contains the signature Westin Heavenly Bed, which can be adjusted for maximum sleeping comfort. Handicapped-accessible rooms are also available, and dogs are welcome.
