Hotels in Hopkins Village and Sittee River Village

There's a host of lodging options in this area, ranging from simple budget and backpacker hotels in Hopkins Village to upscale dive resorts on the beaches to the south.

Very Expensive

In addition to the places listed here, the Belizean Dreams and Hopkins Bay Resort (tel. 523-7272; www.belizeandreams.com) are two sister condo-resort projects on either end of Hopkins Village. Both feature a series of large and luxurious fully equipped condo units spread around a grassy lawn and pool area fronting the beach.

Inexpensive

In addition to the place listed below, there are literally a score (or more) of simple guesthouses and small inns. Some are run by a local renting a spare room, while others are converted houses. Most inns charge around BZ$20 to BZ$30 (US$10-US$15/£5.30-£7.95) per person. If you have the time, it might be worth your while to check out a couple before deciding where to stay.
