This cheeky contemporary arts museum is sometimes called the "Garage Mahal," partly for its whimsical, industrial structure, which features metallic domes and spires, and partly for its rotating handful of elaborately festooned art cars. You might run into a '79 Super Beetle convertible with a mystical landscape filled with garden gnomes, or a intricately bejeweled '84 Camaro with a buffalo head hood ornament. To see many more art cars, check out the city's annual Art Car Parade, sponsored by the Orange Show. The museum also presents edgy temporary exhibitions, such as the recent black-and-white photography series called "Homelessness through the Eyes of the Homeless."
