Visitors here don headphones, and for 40 expensive minutes proceed from one creepy installation to the next listening to traditional Icelandic ghost stories. The props are decent, if low-budget. (The smoke machine produces an eggy sulfur smell, which somehow ruins the illusion.) Not all the stories will resonate with non-Icelanders, and you'll spend lots of time standing in place; but the tour may still produce a few goose bumps. The Ghost Center is not recommended for children ages 12 and under.
