All hail Hilda! Sh's the mastermind behind this this charming little hotel, set a former tapestry factory, and her welcome may be the warmest on Hydra. In the morning Hilda and her staff put out a superb spread of thick Greek yogurts, fresh fruits, home baked goods and more; throughout the day, she's available to answer questions and help with bookings. Not that you're likely to want to stray too far from the hotel. It's an idyllic place, with views of the hills and the surrounding cobblestone streets, set far enough away from the port to be blissfully quiet. All the rooms are wonderfully spacious, attractive and come with kitchenettes  (in order to minimize strong food odors, the hotel discourages guests from cooking full meals); some have two levels, others have patios and there's an interconnecting room for families with two or three children.
