Despite its size, Ica doesn't offer much in the way of fine dining. Most locals and visitors tend to gravitate toward the Plaza de Armas and the handful of sandwich shops, rotisserie-chicken places, and informal restaurants there.

El Otro Peñoncito, Bolívar 422 (tel. 056/233-920), is one of the more reliable restaurants in the city center, with a hugely varied menu of criolla (Creole) specialties and basic chicken, meat, and fish dishes, including some vegetarian plates. Sometimes there's live music in the evenings.
