This Provençal-style hotel is far and away Porquerolles’ most luxurious accommodation. Located on the island’s western tip, it’s set in a 40-hectare (99-acre) park laced with bougainvillea, shaded by eucalyptus and Aleppo pines, and overlooking a lovely pine-ringed bay. Elegant rooms have a truly traditional feel and are decorated with classic local textiles; many have their own private patio. Even better, come evening time, there’s no need to leave paradise. The onsite Restaurant L’Olivier (open to non-guests) is Michelin-starred: Prepare for unique pairings like steamed crayfish and fig ravioli or foie gras with hibiscus jelly.
