Located 18km (11 miles) from Incheon port, it is no longer the remote and lonely island of days past. Its name means "dress of a dancer," reflecting the gorgeous scenery. It's a great place to enjoy nature and the scenic beauty of South Korea's small islands. Both Silmi and Hanagae beaches are wide and sandy, and the hiking trails of Mt. Horyonggok are not too steep. During low tide, you can even walk to the uninhabited Silmi-do (Silmi Island) from Silmi Beach.
