An island 1km (2/3 mile) off the coast of Incheon, it is now connected to the mainland by a highway. There are over 50 seafood restaurants clustered together here, and it's an excellent place to come for lunch or dinner. The places all serve hwae and the fish is incredibly fresh -- in fact, it's straight from the sea. The Street of Culture is a promenade filled with musicians, performers, and caricaturists. One of the best places to enjoy a romantic sunset, the island is also home to a small amusement park, Play Hill, and ferry cruises, both of which are great for families. Daily cruises around the island run every 2 hours starting at 11:30am, with the last boat leaving at 7:30pm. They last 80 minutes and cost W13,000, W7,000 for kids 11 and under. From March on, you can also take a dinner cruise on Saturday nights for W43,000, W32,000 for children 11 and under.
