Hotel Du Lac and Congress Center
It's hard to find fault with the Du Lac Hotel. Its setting is superb, right on the lake and yet within a easy walking distance of the center of town. The furnishings are elegant and grown-up in their ambiance—not trendy, but new, done in classic shapes (comfy armchairs, broad leather headboards) and covered with luxurious but sturdy fabrics. The staff is topnotch and the facilities (pool, children's pool, bar and restaurant) well-maintained and quite nice. If I have any complaint it's with the Wi–Fi signal, which wavers, depending on which way the winds blowing (or perhaps it has to do with where the moon is in the sky!). Other than that—and some might appreciate being forced to take a "digital vacation"—it's hard to do better than the Du Lac in this neck of the woods.
