Natural History Museum (Náttúrugripasafn Bolungarvíkur)

Displays of taxidermied animals, bird eggs, and minerals are found all over Iceland. While this one is more professional and extensive than usual, not enough context is posted in English. The most poignant specimens came to Iceland by accident: a polar bear, shot 64km (40 miles) offshore after drifting from Greenland on pack ice, and a poor lost flamingo.
