Although they've mixed their millennia -- ancient Greece with a medieval forest -- Universal has done a good job creating a foreboding mood in this section of the park, whose entrance is marked by menacing stone griffins. As a note: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has officially opened -- splashing over into the Lost Continent, which is now significantly smaller in size, its borders realigned to accommodate the addition. Obvious signs of the intrusion include the demolition of the Enchanted Oak Tavern; the re-theming of what was, in a past life, Dueling Dragons (now the Dragon Challenge, and part of the Wizarding World rather than the Lost Continent); and the addition of a large stone archway marking the Wizarding World's entrance. The temporary bridge (built during the construction) connecting the Lost Continent to Jurassic Park remains in place; whether or not it will become permanent has yet to be determined. This, however, may not be the end of the changes and intrusions, as rumors continue to fly regarding a second phase of Wizarding World in the works (which means several Lost Continent attractions may be reworked and refit to accommodate the changes).
