Cooking on vacation may sound like drudgery, but what if your kitchen was on an open-air terrace with eye-popping views of the sea? Suddenly a chore turns into an adventure. These fully equipped open outdoor kitchen/dining rooms (don't worry, there’s a roof above) are just the beginning of the perks at this lovingly tended small hotel, where the prices are reasonable and the décor downright charming (the good-quality beds are covered with boldly colored Mexican textiles and the walls are hung with framed folk art pieces). Down the hill is a secluded beach. Note that junior suites have two bedrooms, making them perfect for a family. The only downsides to staying here? Not all the staff speaks  English and there’s no pool.
