Jackson is a steak lover’s town, and this swanky downtown stop is one of the best places around to enjoy a lovingly prepared slab of meat. The Local partners with area ranchers to serve grass-fed, hormone-free steaks. Trout, fried chicken, buffalo medallions, and an excellent (if $18!) burger round out the menu, and there’s a nice selection of charcuterie and a raw bar. The bar serves a long list of tasty small bites alongside its cool cocktails and whiskey flights. The lunch menu leans more to burgers, sandwiches, and salads.
