The Asylum
As the name would imply, this restaurant (inside a former hospital building high above downtown Jerome) is a bit out of the ordinary. The menu buys into this as well (“Lunch for the Committed”). But despite the goofy name, it’s a serious restaurant, and as befits its place in the Jerome Grand Hotel, the food transcends all of this with Southwestern flair, as in the prickly-pear barbecued pork tenderloin with tomatillo salsa or the mesquite BLT for lunch. Cocktails all get wacky loony-bin names, and there’s also a crazy-big wine list.
