We’ll be blunt: The food here is solid but not exceptional. People generally come for a light bite so they can enjoy the ambience and the panoramic view of Jerusalem from the YMCA’s landmark tower. The dining terrace is lovely, but the indoor dining room, with its Islamic Art Deco style and Ottoman-Turkish fireplace, is over-the-top fabulous. I’d say it looks like a set from a film about the British Mandate. Reservations are recommended in the evenings.
