Top-quality fresh seafood is not the norm in Jerusalem, except at really expensive restaurants. Moderately priced Sea Dolphin is the exception to that rule, owned by a family that’s been bringing fresh fish to Jerusalem for decades. Included in the price of your main course is a (bottomless) meze of 10 Middle Eastern salads and appetizers, but there are also good seafood soups and seafood appetizers you can add a la carte. You can order your fish fried, baked, or grilled (your waiter will suggest which would be best for your choice). There’s a selection of intriguing sauces, but you might ask for the sauce to be served on the side so you can savor a true taste of the sea. A few meat and vegetarian options are served, and there’s a good selection of lunchtime specials.
