Mendenhall Glacier Campground
At the Mendenhall Glacier Campground (take Mendenhall Loop Road to Montanan Creek Road to Skaters Cabin Road) you can unzip your tent flap and ponder the glacier across the lake before you even crawl out of your sleeping bag. This beautiful campground, one of the nicest in the state, has 69 well separated tent sites. It's also got a half-mile wheel-chair accessible nature trail, and clean restrooms with hot showers and flush toilets.
