This summer-only restaurant is next to the cruise-ship dock, but it’s no tourist trap—the dining room is gorgeous, with high ceilings, interesting decoration, and great views. The menu contains good, unexpected choices, such as salmon in pastry or in a taco. And the service is excellent. If you want to get fancy, order the salmon on a silver plank. Steak is on the menu too and is appropriately aged and well-executed. Try to snag one of the tables with views of the Gastineau Channel. Beer selections from the Alaskan Brewing Company are on tap.
