Long Ting Gongyuan
This park sits on the site of the former imperial palaces of six dynasties from the time of the Later Liang dynasty (907-23) through part of the Jin dynasty (1115-1234). The park's entrance is at the northern end of Songdu Yujie (Imperial Street of the Song Dynasty), once exclusively reserved for use by the emperor, imperial family, and aristocrats. Inside the park's main entrance, the imperial way continues past two lakes, Panjia Hu to the east and Yangjia Hu to the west, and ends at the foot of Long Ting (Dragon Pavilion), reconstructed in 1692 for worship of the emperor. Seventy-two steep steps to the top reward you with views of Kaifeng.
