Kamloops is a junction point for many provincial roads, including the Trans-Canada Highway and the Coquihalla toll road (Hwy. 5), the fastest route to/from Vancouver.

There are six daily Greyhound Canada (tel. 800/661-8747; buses from Vancouver; the fare is C$56. VIA Rail (tel. 888/VIA-RAIL [842-7245]; passes through on the main transnational route. Kamloops is also the overnight stop for the Grand Canadian Railtour Company's luxury Rocky Mountaineer (tel. 800/665-7245).
