Restaurant Sandgrund, Sandgrundsudden (tel. 054/21-16-70), is Värmland's best-known dance restaurant; it always draws a large friendly crowd, and it's easy to make new acquaintances. Arena, Kungsgatan 18 (tel. 054/21-95-95), a pub and dance club on two floors, also draws a lively, young crowd. One of the town's best pubs is the Bishop's Arms, in the Elite Stadshotellet Karlstad, Kungsgatan 22 (tel. 054/29-30-20). This is a classic pub opening on the Klarälven, and it offers a wide range of beer. Drawing even more business and enjoying greater popularity is Wollpack Inn, Järnvägsgatan 1 (tel. 054/15-80-16), a British-style pub.
