Frommer's Staff

This early skyscraper dates from the golden years between world wars I and II, when modern architecture, particularly that unadorned style known as Bauhaus, was all the rage. When it was finished in 1934, it was the tallest building in the country, measuring 60m (197 ft.) in height. Now, it's often overlooked but a must for fans of functionalist architecture.
