Hot Tin Roof
Ever hear of conch fusion cuisine? Neither had we, until we experienced it firsthand at Hot Tin Roof, Ocean Key Resort’s (p. ###) elegant, harborfront restaurant which melds South American, Asian, French, and Keys cuisine together into flavor profiles you won’t find anywhere else. We’re talking plantain-crusted swordfish with roasted corn salsa and tequila poblano sauce, or a whole, crispy yellowtail snapper with maduros and cilantro dipping sauce. Cuban bread pudding is a superb dessert, and breakfast is topnotch here, too. Last time we ate here, Meryl Streep was sitting next to us, looking as impressed as she was impressive.
