Arriving—Kingman is located at the junction of I-40 and U.S. 93, which heads northwest to Las Vegas; Route 66 runs through the middle of town. Amtrak (tel. 800/872-7245) offers rail service to Kingman from Chicago and Los Angeles. The station is at 4th St. and Andy Devine Ave./Rte. 66.
Visitor Information—The Powerhouse Tourist Information & Visitor Center, 120 W. Rte. 66 (www.gokingman.com; tel. 928/753-6106), is open daily 8am to 5pm. It is set in a restored 1907 powerhouse that also houses the Historic Route 66 Museum, a Route 66 gift shop, and a model railroad.
