The menu here is ambitious without being overly complicated and with plenty of space to let the ingredients breathe. As you’d expect from Kinsale, the seafood on the menu comes directly from the harbor, so you never know exactly what will end up in the kitchen. However, on a typical night you could find a filet of John Dory with fennel croquettes, or tubot with baby leeks and lime. While the standout dishes tend to be seafood, there’s plenty more to choose from, and the meats are all sourced from the owner’s parents, who run a butcher shop in nearby Mitchelstown.
