Walkers Maine
Chef-owner Justin Walker cut his teeth in the kitchens of many of southern Maine’s most beloved restaurants before he and wife Danielle Johnson Walker, an accomplished sommelier, opened their own place in 2018. The menu is more comforting than highbrow, the kitchen turning out beautiful plates of lamb shanks, risottos, grilled salmon, and other classics, most of them prepared in a wood-burning open hearth. Plenty of the produce comes from the couple’s nearby farm, and Johnson Walker’s wine list has earned accolades from Wine Spectator and others.
