Planning a trip to Klodzko
Kodzko's Tourist Information Office is situated on the main square (Plac Bolesawa Chrobrego 1; tel. 74/865-89-70). Don't expect much in the way of help; but it's a useful stop to check on trains and buses, and see what's going on in town. The Tourist Information Office in Miedzygórze (Wojska Polskiego 2; tel. 74/813-51-95) is a good starting point for hiking maps and suggestions on trails.
Getting Around
Make Kodzko your base, and use buses or your own car to get around the Kodzko region. Regular buses connect Kodzko with the towns of Kudowa-Zdrój and Miedzygórze. The Kodzko tourist information office can advise on transportation. Within Kodzko city, walking is the only option. The city is small, and 10 minutes on foot will get you anywhere you want to go.
Getting There
Kodzko city is served by both regular train and bus service from Wrocaw and other large cities. The bus station is particularly convenient, across the road from the statue-lined stone bridge that leads to the center of town. By car, from Wrocaw, Kodzko is a straight shot south down the E67 highway about 120km (75 miles). The drive is about 2 hours. Kodzko is about 40km (25 miles) from the Czech border and is an easy drive to the Czech regional city of Hradec Králové. Prague lies 180km (112 miles) to the southwest. The drive takes about 3 hours.
