There are lots of dive schools vying for your baht, so shop around before committing to a package. Unless you’re coming for master accreditation or something beyond a basic open-water certification, you’ll be fine booking upon arrival. In Ko Tao, remember that other scuba fans are a great resource for recommending dive operators. Be sure to find an instructor that you jive with and ask about group size and the skill sets of the other divers in your group.
