Those interested in learning  about Modernist Krakow, and willing to head out of the city center to do so, should head for Rydlówka. Here at Ulica Tetmajera 28, northwest of the town in Bronowice Małe, is the peasant house where artist-dramatist Stanisƚaw Wyspiański attended the wedding that inspired his play of the same name. This peasant house has since been converted into the Młoda Polska Rydlówka Museum, featuring art, poetry, costumes, and documentation from the Modernist period. The wedding in question took place in 1900. In 1968, a fire destroyed much of the house, which was converted into this museum a year later. It remains in the hands of the Rydlów family.
