This sparsely decorated bar with modernist furniture is actually part of the inexpensive Jam Hostel upstairs (with dorm beds going for ¥2,000 in case you're interested) and is run by a young staff who know their stuff when it comes to sake, making it a good bet for novices and connoisseurs alike. It stocks about 70 different kinds of sake, with an emphasis on brands from Kyoto and Niigata, but it also offers up new trends like sake infused with lemon or ginger. In addition to glasses and bottles, it offers a sampler of three different kinds of sake for ¥1,000. Free Wi–Fi is a bonus.
