Lava Lounge’s menu ranges from glorified bar food—nachos, quesadillas, wings, and wraps—to a hearty Costa Rican casado, with dishes such as a thick-cut grilled pork chop or coconut shrimp with spicy mango salsa quite well done. Chef and owner Scott Bradley is often on hand, and also runs the Tropical Cooking Class ★ cooking school. Wooden picnic tables with bench seating fill the main dining room, so you might have to share your table.
