Lake Louise, being small as it is, has few options, most of them expensive. The local HI here, the Lake Louise Alpine Centre (203 Village Road, Lake Louise, AB T0L 1E0; tel. 866/762-4122 or 403/522-2202; www.hihostels.ca), is jointly owned and run by HI and the Alpine Club of Canada, and is a very reasonable option. It's huge, modern, comfortable, and conveniently located. The hostel also offers guide-led hikes daily. Linens are included in the rates: Dorm-room beds C$28 for members, C$42 for nonmembers; private rooms C$110 members, C$118 non-members.
