River Ranch Lodge & Restaurant
This old-fashioned lodge situated along the scenic banks of the Truckee River offers guests a choice of 19 rooms, individually decorated with antique wood furniture; many units boast balconies and river views. The in-house restaurant and bar, which provides both New American fine dining as well as après-ski cocktails and craft beers, occupies a circular structure jutting out over the river. In the summer, the roomy riverfront patio shaded by umbrellas is a hot spot for casual eats and drinks and the end of the line for many rafting trips. Note: In the spring of 2014, the River Ranch changed owners, although no modifications to the property or service are currently in the works.
