Chef Wyatt Dufresne's impressive New American eatery may be a foodie hot spot, but it's also versatile enough to accommodate families and après-ski diners. A small, sleek dining room with large windows plays host to seasonally-inspired, locally sourced dishes such as pine-braised veal osso bucco and squash bisque with Dungeness crab and cranberries; most tables start off with the signature seafood sashimi cones. An adjoining bar and lounge area, with its laid-back vibe and cozy fire pit, is open for lunch and dinner, offering a slightly more accessible menu, including shareable plates of duck confit poutine and sweet potato enchiladas. PlumpJack is renowned for its wine program, and its 23-page list will keep any oenophile happy. The café also offers a weekday breakfast (7:30–10:30am), as well as a Sunday brunch (11:30am–3pm), serving up items such as chocolate-Guinness "mancakes."
