Arriving & Departing in Las Catalinas

By Plane: The nearest airport to Las Catalinas is in Tamarindo, although it is also possible to fly into Liberia. From either of these places, you can arrange for a taxi to drive you to Las Catalinas. Playa Grande is about 15 minutes from Tamarindo and 45 minutes from Liberia. A taxi from Tamarindo should cost $45 to $60; between $60 and $80 from Liberia.

By Car: The most direct route to Las Catalinas is by heading north for 4 km on Camino las Catalinas from CR911 at Playa Potrero. Parking is in the lot to the east of town or at Playa Dantita.
