In some ways, the first incarnation of Body English helped draft the blueprint from which many of the clubs that followed it were created. Dark and moody (it’s in a basement, after all) and infectiously high-energy, the club was one of the most popular in Vegas until it was shuttered in 2010 in favor of its upstairs sister Vanity. The club’s 2013 reopening is a triumph, with all of the things that made it popular in the first place (a smaller, more intimate space; gothic decor; a slamming multilevel dance floor) upgraded to include the latest light and sound systems. While most clubs are going big, bigger, and biggest, Body English feels more manageable and less intimidating without losing any of the fun that a nightclub experience is meant to have. Body English is open Thursday through Saturday from 10pm until dawn.
