In its glory days, the Sand Dollar was an iconic blues bar that was a mandatory stop for legends such as Muddy Waters and B. B. King. It took a hit during the recession and closed in 2007, then was renovated on a bar makeover show and somehow stayed afloat, trying on a few different identities until it finally took off again in 2015. Part of the Sand Dollar’s resurrection is thanks to the introduction of a fantastic craft cocktail menu. Also helping are the surprisingly gourmet pizzas coming out of its kitchen, which have made this an unofficial chef clubhouse after the pros leave their Strip kitchens for the night. Live blues and rock bands still grace the stage nightly. Open daily 3pm until 4am.
