The latest spot from Morton Hospitality, which has other hits in town such as Crush at MGM, La Comida Downtown and the legendary, but now-closed N9NE Steakhouse at Palms, marks the first time that the Morton Brothers David and Michael have acutally done a restuarant together, the MB standing for "My Brothers." It's sexy and cool, a great fit for Hard Rock. And it's massive. At 7,800 square feet, the restaurant spans two floors with not only a private dining room upstairs, but also a fantastic view of the Strip. On the main floor, try to score one of the round corner booths so you have the full view of the room, but this seat also happens to help you look like a high roller. The menu also makes you feel pretty rich, especially with starters such as charred Spanish octopus, or caviar, stacked atop three blinis and crème fraîche like a mini slider. Steaks are prepared only with salt, pepper and bit of oil before they take a turn under a 1200-degree broiler for the perfect crust—you don’t need much more when the beef is this good. If you have good fortune of meeting longtime Morton Group host John O’Donnell when you’re there—he’s the Irish guy with the light brogue who is greeting everyone like he’s the mayor—it’s going to be a good night. He’ll not only steer you towards what he thinks are the best options are for the evening cocktail and food-wise, but he also has a knack for making everyone he talks to feel like a VIP.
