Frommer's Staff

Former home to the Earl of Harwood, this 18th-century art-filled house is set in 100 acres of 'Capability' Brown's landscaped gardens. The State Rooms boast some of the best of British creations, including paintings by Turner and Reynolds, Chippendale's furniture and Robert Adams' interior designs. Contemporary art exhibitions fill the Terrace Gallery, and penguins, flamingoes and dazzling macaws fill the Bird Garden.
