This 29-hectare private reserve is like a mini-Amazon theme park. If you just have a couple of days in Leticia and don’t have time to really get out in the jungle, this might quench your needs. The park offers four tours (short walks really) that take less than an hour each and are led by English- or Spanish-speaking guides. The main attraction is the botanical garden, which has hundreds of medicinal plants, though there’s also an aquarium filled with Amazonian fish, jungle trails with chances to see some wildlife, and a tea house. Taxi will come here from the center for around COP$20,000; for $1,900, public buses will stop at kilometer 7 north of town, from where you will have a 10-minute walk.
