Cabaña Flotante Kurupira

A 20-minute boat ride from Leticia, this rustic floating wooden lodge with a thatched roof provides the peace and solitude that many come to Leticia for. Rooms are simple, mostly exposed to the elements, so beds are draped in mosquito nets, though a breeze from the river keeps most bugs away. All rooms have a private bathroom and terrace with a hammock. Keep in mind that you’ll be isolated in this hotel, so setting up a more complete package is recommended. The same owners also run a lodge, Heliconia, on a private reserve deeper in the jungle near the Rio Yavari, in the remote border area of Peru and Brazil.
