El Cielo is the first restaurant in Leticia to even attempt to have some sort of elevated cuisine and nice presentation. They mostly succeed with a menu of international dishes utilizing local ingredients. For instance, they use cassava flour in their pizza dough and slather their pork ribs in an araza BBQ sauce. There’s just one simple dining room, with a trippy jungle-painted wall and an outdoor patio. Some of the waiters speak English, which is rare in Leticia.
