Overshadowed by the brand’s much larger, newer, and more extravagant Westin hotel, the San Isidro Libertador remains an oldie but a goodie. It’s also a great value if all you want is a comfortable place to rest your head in a prime location (near the esteemed Lima Golf Club and far-pricier Country Club hotel). The narrow, 13-floor building is decorated with modern art and kilim rugs. The rooms, whose electronics match the brand’s other properties (iPod docks, flatscreen TVs, DIRECTV), otherwise suffer from furniture and carpets that are quite dated. All common amenities are on the ground floor, including a quiet restaurant, pub, and small workout room.
