Chef Rafael Osterling (the man behind the more formal Rafael) is one of Peru’s biggest celebrity chefs, and this high-energy, lunchtime-only restaurant has been one of the city’s most popular eateries since opening a few years ago. The indoor-outdoor space with a long bar, industrial-seek aesthetic, and beachy decor fills up with Lima’s pretty people who don’t seem to mind that there is usually a wait. The food continues to get better and better and everything has a touch of Asian-Mediterranean flair, which Osterling is known for. Seafood dominates the menu, coming in the form of ceviches, several variations of seafood rice, jalea (deep-fried seafood), and grouper cheeks.
