This medieval castle dominates the Old Town. It is best known as the site where Richard the Lionheart married Princess Berengaria of Navarre in 1101. This once mighty stronghold today houses the Medieval Museum of Cyprus with a fascinating collection of weaponry, armor, and coins in the Knights’ Hall, and Byzantine mosaics, reliefs, and sculptures dating from Lusignan times in the Main Hall. The rooftop offers a panoramic view of Limassol.
